Metro Pcs Phone Must Be Registered?

Metro PCs wont accept IMEI number to activate

  1. infox , October ii, 2014 :
I tried both online and calling them, either way they don't recognize the IMEI number that came with the telephone, hence me being unable to use information technology.. What exercise I do?!

  2. danyvw , Oct ii, 2014 :
What they said? I have one OPO with MetroPCS working without problems. Today in the night I will activate another one by telephone. Volition update.

  3. n19htmare , October 2, 2014 :
Take you tried putting in the sim card and trying? I've never had to register a GSM unlocked phone on a GSM network. Usually the sim just works equally long every bit you take a compatible plan.

  4. danyvw , Oct 2, 2014 :
In MetroPCS y'all demand to register your IMEI, they link your IMEI with your SIM in gild to get service.

Unless someone who uses Metro PCS comes along, y'all might want to look about 6 posts above y'all, to the Guide that shows how to set LTE on ATT. Could be something there for you. As the OP says, yous may have to trick Metro into thinking yous take a telephone that they recognize.

    Whatever update

Any update. Were you able to annals your telephone with MetroPCS.

  7. infox , Oct 4, 2014 :
Aye lamentable for the late update, I concluded up having to go to 2 different retailers before someone was finally able to annals it... not sure what the outcome is and why it took that much endeavour, just at least its working at present.

Just tell them you are trying to activate a t-mobile unlocked device. That solves the problem.

    How-do-you-do Guys!
I see this thread is non posting anymore then I wanted to clarify some things. I experienced the same problem days agone and I didn't know what to practise. Luckily I plant out that:
1st. You cannot activate any OnePlus device on-line via Metro by T-Mobile, nor any unlocked device you get from the internet that's not a Metro by T-Mobile device. The Online activation site is only to activate or swap betwixt their own devices. So proceed this on listen before trying.
2nd. In club to swap your SIM Card from 1 Metro past T-Mobile device to an unlocked OnePlus device you will have to phone call customer service at 611, *228 or 888-8metro8. Via automated system they will either bandy your device successfully or either make you lot talk to a representative.
I know this thread is now 5 years old, but I know some people will still have these problems in the future.
